Women account for 43% of the global agricultural labor force and, if granted the same access to productive resources as men, farm yields as a whole could rise by 20 – 30% thereby delivering 100 – 150 million people out of hunger. Women receive only 10% of aid money earmarked for agriculture, fishing and forestry despite doing much of the most labor intensive work.
