Discussion Forum 13: Securing Land Rights for Sustainable Landscape Management

This discussion forum will be an all-encompassing discussion with indigenous representatives engaged in landscape management across different regions and geographical and political conditions. The session will cover issues such as rights (land rights, water rights, etc.) as well as sustainable landscape management practices in various areas such as forest management, watershed management, agriculture production, desert and tundra landscape, etc.

The panel will include representation from CIFOR and OXFAM to showcase existing successful partnerships and collaborations with UN Agencies and NGOS and will be moderated by Joan Carling of the Indigenous Peoples Major Group and recent recipient of the Champions of the Earth award.
