The T.M.C. Asser Institute and Justice and Peace Netherlands are seeking applications for the 2019 Fellowship Programme for Human Rights Defenders.

Each year, the Asser Institute, a center focused on public international law, private international law, and European law, hosts one human rights defender from Justice and Peace’s Shelter City initiative, which aims to protect and support human rights defenders at risk through temporary relocation and security training.

The fellow will carry out a research project at the Asser Institute during their three-month stay. The successful applicant will be a human rights defender from outside the Netherlands with experience in international or human rights law.

Request an application form (which must be returned before 14 June 2019) by emailing sheltercity@justiceandpeace.nl.
