The increasing complexity of landscapes requires novel forms of leadership – leadership that crosses sectors and traditional hierarchies, bringing together different landscape actors in a way that prizes their diversity and is attentive to all needs. Landscapes know no boundaries; the leadership that governs them should be similarly holistic.

The Collaborative Leadership Plenary will bring together forward-thinking environmentalists, agriculturalists and educators whose careers embody the beneficial impact that such collaborative leadership can bring. Brining common themes of successful collaborative leadership to the fore, this plenary will look at new models of leadership and how they can be sustained and adapted to create further action on the ground.
